How could cultural institutions become truly open, welcoming and meaningful for people with migration experience? And what did „inclusion” actually mean once we moved beyond declarations into concrete action?
We talked about these questions during the CulturAll online meeting, where we explored how culture could support dialogue, a sense of belonging and real participation of migrants in the life of local communities.

They shared their project and research perspectives, while the conversation also included people with migration experience and representatives of the Emigration Museum in Gdynia, where the Polish pilot took place: workshops built around a tablecloth as a space for conversation, memory and meeting.

About the CulturAll pilots — what worked, what was challenging, and what we learned while testing different ways of inviting migrants into cultural activities.
We took a closer look at three initiatives:
➡️ the „Obrus” (Tablecloth) workshops at the Emigration Museum in Gdynia,
➡️ the theatre performance created in Romania,
➡️ the podcast festival organized in Greece.
We kept the conversation honest and specific:
➡️ What made migrants feel genuinely invited, rather than just „included in an activity”?
➡️ Could cultural events really encourage greater participation in institutional and community life?
➡️ How could we design activities that were inclusive not just in name?
